John wasn't awkward, he was confident and headstrong.  This movie shouldn't be "Summer at Spartan Camp", an adolescent tale of a boy who is dropped off by his parents, meets some guys who are being picked on by the jocks, he rallies them together to beat them with their smarts while steals the main jocks girlfriend using his nerdy charm, making for the best Summer that they will never forget.

It should be badass!  Hardcore!  The kids better cuss, spit, fight!  They better bleed when they get whacked with those trainer batons!  And the actress who plays older Kelly-087 better be smokin' hawt.

EDIT: Holy shit, Russel Crowe confirmed to play adult master chief!

 Grin if u search on google u-tube or any form of serch enjin with the words " HALO movie " then look for the first eight miniuts of halo movie and you will see the begginning trust me its alittal slow at first coz of the opening credits and then after that you will get to see alot of decent stuff thats almost immpossible top believe that this could be hacked cant weight for it Grin

Actually when I read Ender's Game I instantly thought of the Spartan training. I've always noticed and liked that parallel. But I clicked on the link that was about Crowe being John and it was a removed video from youtube? Anyone have another link I can see?

Well...
1) Halo draws on a little bit of everything, from Ender's Game, Aliens, Starship Troopers, Ringworld. Those are the big influences, but there's a tiny bit of just about everything in Halo. That's not to say it's unoriginal, though.
2) The Youtube video was most likely a fake. Crowe's ego is too big to be behind a mask for the duration of a movie, anyway.

Yeah, but then that would take away all the fun in spending time to find out, right?

I liked Crowe in that Western movie with Sharon Stone and Gene Hackman, and Gladiator was just epic badassery. He was great in that movie.
